American Tournament

This is a fun event where you play with different partners for a series of “matches” each lasting a set amount of time. At the end of the time period you rotate and play with different people. It is great fun and a good way of getting to know other players.

You are not the only members of the club and we want to create a good impression, so stick to the rules!

Only recognised tennis wear or tracksuits are to be worn on court. These can be coloured, but must be sportswear

Tennis shoes (not trainers) with Membership Identification (coloured shoe tag) should be worn when playing

Wait until a convenient moment (preferably at the end of a game) before going on court – especially when Seniors are playing.

Do not run across court, ask for balls or walk behind players during a point – apart from being rude it is VERY dangerous

Juniors should behave in a responsible and friendly manner at the Club

Inter-club matches – Junior team members are expected to uphold the reputation of PVLTC when playing other clubs or taking part in external tournaments. Matches must be played in a sporting spirit and politeness and good manners are expected at all times.

Attention is drawn to PVLTC’s Child Protection Policy which is located in the Clubhouse

Please Note: For their own safety, all children must be collected immediately after their event finishes.
